Inspector General Of Police Arraigns Nigerian Senator

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), will today at FCT High Court 49, arraign Sen. Francis Ade Fadehunsi and two others.
They are facing four (4) count charge via Charge No. CR 728/22 of Conspiracy and Criminal trespass . The matter came up on 30th November for mention but was adjourned to date because the Prosecutor, Rotshang Faith Dimka Esq., was outside jurisdiction on a training organized by the Nigeria Police Force.   The Charge reads; That you 1) Frankdiowo Nigeria Ltd ‘C’ of Pent House, Plot 6, Ekukinam Street, Utako District, Abuja and (2) Chief Francis Ade Fadahunsi ‘M’ of No 54 Aswan Street Wuse, Zone 3 Abuja (3) Olaniran Francis Adebayo ‘M’ of Block 5, Flat 10, Bissau Street Zone 6 Wuse Abuja sometime in 2018 within the Jurisdiction of this honourable court did conspire amongst yourselves to Trespass at Park No 4359, AO, Park Name: District Park, Location Wuse 1 District, Plot size approximately 1.5 Hectares belonging to Donabi Investment Nigeria Ltd whose Chairman is Chief Donatus Oguejiofor of No 510 Olusegun Obansanjo Way, Wuse Abuja and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 97 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria LFN 2004.COUNT TWO.
That you, 1) Frankdiowo Nigeria Ltd ‘C’ of Pent House, Plot 6, Ekukinam Street, Utako District, Abuja and (2) Chief Francis Ade Fadahunsi ‘M’ of No 54 Aswan Street Wuse, Zone 3 Abuja (3) Olaniran Francis Adebayo

“M’ of Block 5, Flat 10, Bissau Street Zone 6 Wuse Abuja sometime in 2018 within the Jurisdiction of this honourable court, trespassed Park No 4359, A02, Park Name: District Park, Location Wuse 1 District, Plot size approximately 1.5 Hectares belonging to Donabi Investment Nigeria Ltd whose Chairman is Chief Donatus Oguejiofor of No 510 Olusegun Obansanjo way, Wuse Abuja with intent to intimidate, insult and annoy him and unlawfully remained on the same property without lawful justification, you thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 348 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria LFN 2004.

At press time, the arraignment could not proceed as the court didn’t sit. On investigation, we were informed that the Judge, was unavoidably absent but sent in apologies.
Consequently, the Prosecutor and Counsel to the Defendants, in agreement with the Court Clerk, adjourned off record to 7th March 2024 for Arraignment.
