The Department of Sate Security Service DSS, has issued Immediate Security Advisory (ISA) dated 1st August 2022.
According to the ISA, “No site, precise location or itinerary is known yet however, high security risk areas includes: Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kwali, Kuje, Abaji and Abuja Municipal Area Council”
Against this backdrop, the DSS advices the following measures;
1.Watch out for anything abnormal around your surroundings, avoid and report same immediately.
2.Limit social engagements as much as possible
3.Avoid going out at night.
4.Avoid public drinking places and restaurants especially after close of work.
5.Keep to the main road. Avoid using deserted/lonely routes and dark alleys.
6.Be extra careful when using a rented vehicle
7.Take appropriate security measures when approaching a checkpoint, be prepared to take ambush/counter surveillance measures always.
8.Be vigilant at places of worship, markets, motor parks, filling station and shopping malls.
9.Everyone should not panic. The National Security Agencies are already at alert to mitigate the situation.

FLASHPOINTS /HIDE OUT IN KUBWA.
Although there has been no reported bandit or terrorist attack in Kubwa, our investigation reveals that the following areas, are flash points in Kubwa. We call on security agencies, to seriously investigate and flush out hoodlums from these area.
1.Pipe line. This stretches from kubwa express through the back of NYSC through Kubwa village to Byazhin junction. Small cult like skirmishes have been reported by residents of this area. The hottest part of this area, is Bazango and its extension
2.NYSC junction on the express to Guinness Junction. This is also part of Bazango. But immediately after old Road Safety office by the left, is a ghetto, unplanned and harbors area boys who terrorize neighbors in and around that area up to Jewel Primary School-Zenith Bank junction.
3.Okada toll collectors. This has no fixed address but lurk around major junctions on Arab road. They are young fierce looking enforcers and collectors of ticket money from Okada riders. They are armed with locally made weapons.
4.Bank of railway track beside old Daughters of Charity Hotel. This is a safe heaven for scavengers but of recent, residents of Court of Appeal quarters and other estates have been complaining of influx of strange faces. There is heavy smell of hard drugs fill the ear every evening and early in the morning.
