CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENTS, PROGRESS AND ADVOCATING EQUITY.

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish”– Michelle Obama.

Empowering women is not merely a cause; it serves as a catalyst for driving positive change. Let’s commemorate the resilience and strength of what a woman can do, celebrating her grits of achievements as well as recognizing women globally. It is time to create a future where every woman can access the opportunities she rightfully deserves .

The International Women’s Day also provides an opportunity to recognize the invaluable contributions of women to society, especially, in sphere of leadership, socio-cultural promotion, politics, economics, and many other aspects of human endeavor. It serves as a catalyst for advocacy, activism, and policy change aimed at creating a more inclusive and equitable world where all individuals, regardless of gender, can thrive and fulfill their potentials. This Day serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity, resilience, and progress towards achieving gender justice and human rights for all.The Postal sector in Nigeria has over the years recognised the socio-economic contributions of women in the POST for cultural, politics and socioeconomic development of nations and this is being enhanced with the appointment of the first female Postmaster General/CEO Ms Omotola Odeyemi for the POST by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Her appointment of women into strategic roles in the organisation is a clear pointer and radical departure from the past.
Happy International Women’s Day.
