Eastern Bar Forum (EBF), has released the communiqué of its quarterly meeting held in Calabar on 4th June, 2022 and surprisingly, Clement Chukwuemeka aka Democrat, immediate past Chairman, NBA Bwari Branch, did not make the list, while disqualified candidates Felix Chukwuma Ashimole and Chukwuemeka Mbamala made it.
This release is coming days after Egbe Amofin Oodua released her resolutions at their last meeting, wherein they adopted all members of Egbe Amofin Oodua vying for any post in the forthcoming NBA Election.
In a retaliatory move, EBF published hers, aimed at shoring support for EBF members contesting.
There will be no clash between EBF and Egbe Amofin Oodua as there is no post where members of these forum are facing each other.
The contest for the office of Publicity Secretary, would’ve been combustible, maybe necessitating horse trading, had Felix Chukwuma Ashimole was not disqualified. He would have faced Ogaga Emoghwanre and Habib Akorode Lawal from South West.
Ogaga, Esq, is from Midwestern Bar going by NBA codified zoning, he is from South West. NBA relied on 1963 political map of Nigeria in arriving at her grouping Branches in North, West and East.
Habib, is a Yoruba man, practicing in Asaba, Midwestern Bar; this pundits believe, has given his a great advantage against Ogaga but Ogaga, has the advantage of his godfathers being in control of Lagos. Lagos has with over 10,148 voters, is a game changer.
