According to FCT INEC REC, Mr. Yahaya Bello,1,373,492 Voters have been captured in the FCT and are expected to participate in the February 12, Area Council Elections.
Of this, 21,508 are males while 21,478 are females.
The FCT REC, said, “the Voter Register has been printed and soft copies presented to the Political Parties. Presently, the PVC collection is on-going in all the six INEC Area Council offices. He further revealed that so far a total of 103,068 cards have been collected while another 265,866 cards were yet to be collected as at close of work on Tuesday.
The REC also gave an analysis of the CVR saying; “a total number of 21, 508 males and 21, 478 females were captured.
The collection of PVC, will end on the 4th of February.”
According to The Sun, Bello disclosed these when INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, visited the FCT office to ascertain the level of preparedness for the election.
Bello, revealed also, that he has submitted a security report of the flashpoints in the Territory to the FCT Police Commissioner, CP Babaji Sunday.
