Mr Maikyau was in Illorin on the 10th of December 2022 and he was received by members of Ilorin and Offa Branches of the NBA who accompanied him and his entourage to various places in Ilorin to pay his condolences.
Arriving the residence of late Hon Justice Titi Daibu, he met with members of the family and in condoling with the family of the deceased he said, “this is not an auspicious visit, that one will believe we should have come here for the ascension of my lord as chief Judge of this State but God knows best.
My lord was like a mother to me and I had course to relate with my lord through my colleague Muhammed Adelodun. I send our sincere condolences and we know that our mother left a big void and we all know her role while she was around but God knows best and we pray God prepares someone to fill that void.
She was a Judge we were very proud of. Please accept our condolences and may God Almighty grant her eternal rest.”One of members of the entourage of the President, J. S Mohammed appreciated the President for coming and prayed for his administration as NBA President. He said that they face the death of the deceased in many ways, that by January next she would have been the substantive CJ and that she is a person that does not compromise.
He prayed that God will forgive her shortcomings and he prayed for all members of the family. He also offered prayers according to Muslim faith. He concluded by wishing the President and others safe journey back to their various destinations.
