Kubwa is one of the 10 Wards in Bwari Area Council. According to INEC delimitation, Kubwa has 80 polling units.
Some of these polling units are; Kubwa Village/Kofar Sarki, Bazango/Kofar, Kukwaba/Kukwaba market, Kukwaba ii/Security Post NYSC Camp, Maitama i & ii/Kubwa Primary School.

There are 7 political parties vying to represent Kubwa Ward at the forthcoming FCT Area Council Election on February 12. They and their candidates are;

ADP-Musa Suleiman, 36 years old
APC-Adamu Shekwonya 29 years
APGA-Abubakar Muhammed Umar, 31 years
PDP-Mustapha Tanko, 29 years
SDP-Suleiman Mohammhed Salisu, 38 years
YPP-Akpan Emem Marcus, 48 years.

Ikhayere, the only female Councilorship candidate, urged electorates to come out and vote for their candidates. She also called on INEC to make sure that the voters vote count because that’s the best way to promote democracy and the development of Kubwa Ward, a Ward she is passionate to serve.
