Ahead of the February 12 FCT Area Council Elections, natives of the FCT have appealed to INEC to conduct free and fair elections where their votes count in determining who will govern them.
Mr. Danjuma Tanko Dara, speaking on behalf of residents and natives of Abuja, made this appeal during a press briefing.
He said the people are bent on ensuring a change in the leadership of the FCT through their votes.
He further said, “We need a serious political change in this FCT and we want to achieve that through the forthcoming FCT elections.
We are all going out to elect chairmen of our choice; we are tired of so many wrong things happening in the FCT. That is why we are appealing to INEC to make sure that our votes count.
