The Bench, Our highly esteemed guests, all individual and Group participants, Senior counsels and Learned colleagues and friends of the Bar, I feel highly excited and elated to welcome all of you to this prestigious annual event which parades who is who among the Nigerian Legal Practitioners.
I welcome all the erudite and eminent speakers from different walks of life who sacrifice their time, energy and money to render their contribution to the nations Law development, Law Practice and providing solutions to the excruciating problems prevalent in the socio-political structure of our country Nigeria.
The 62nd Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association whose theme is “Bold Transitions” presents a unique, remarkable, educative and interactive sessions that offer Participants and Lawyers an unrivalled opportunity to enlarge their knowledge on contemporary legal and political issues in Nigeria. It is a balance between education and play, learning and leisure, obedience and freedom, safety and autonomy.
In my opinion, the NBA General Conference has immensely provided legal and social instruments to cure some of the nation’s malaise.
This year’s event is structured to impact more than others and hence, participants are expected to go home with information and knowledge necessary for the Law Practice, Law reform, Administration of Justice and nation building in general.
Once again, I welcome you to this great occasion and as we depart to our various destinations, I pray that merciful God grant us journey mercy.
