Justice For Bright Nda Owhor, His Friends, Family, and NBA.

The Chairman Citizens Liberties Committee National NBA, NUHU J. EGYA, is deeply grieved and outraged by the brutal and unjustified killing of Bright Nda Owhor, a dedicated and beloved member of the NBA Port Harcourt Branch.
The death of the young and promising legal practitioner who dedicated his entire life to legal profession, holding the career firmly, is nothing but an irreplaceable loss for the family and entire legal profession in Nigeria.
This malignant act showcases the depth of insecurity in our country.
The Committee, without reservation, condemns this despicable act. No society governed by the rule of law can afford to ignore such brave acts of violence and impunity. The merciless denial of right to life must not be left unpunished. All hands must gather to establish justice.
On that note, we appeal to and call upon the Inspector-General of Police, the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, and all other relevant security agencies to immediately launch a thorough, transparent, and credible investigation into this tragic incident. We demand that those responsible for this heinous crime be apprehended without delay, and we equally call for the prosecution of the hospital that rejected him for treatment. The hands of justice must not be tied.In addition, we urge the government and security agencies to take decisive and proactive steps to stem the rising tide of insecurity that threatens the lives of citizens, especially members of the legal profession. Lawyers cannot continue to serve society under recurring fear and threat to their lives.
We will remain vigilant and fully engaged in ensuring that justice is served in this matter. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Bright Nda Owhor, of the NBA Port Harcourt Branch*, and the entire legal community as we collectively mourn this devastating loss.
