The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, today paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Bright Nda Owhor, a lawyer who was brutally murdered in Rivers State. He was received by members of the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.
During the visit, the NBA President expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of Mr. Nda, describing it not only as a painful loss to the legal profession, but also a personal one, as the late Bright was a close friend and brother in whom he found great promise and character.
“This is a heartbreaking moment. Bright was not just a member of our noble profession, he was a dear friend. His untimely and violent death is a stark reminder of the deepening insecurity in our society. We mourn his loss, but we also demand justice,” the President said.
The NBA President offered prayers for the family and assured them of the his continued support during this difficult time.
The NBA stands in solidarity with the grieving family and the entire legal community in Rivers State.
