Harcourt Ekpe Deinmobowei Applaud Pere Egbuson

Past chairmen of the Young Lawyers Forum, Nigerian Bar Association, Yenagoa Branch, Mr. Harcourt Ekpe and Mr. Deinmobowei Abila, applaud Mrs. Pere Egbuson for her giant strides and commitments to the NBA in Yenagoa.
Pere Egbuson has shown her love for the legal profession, especially the Nigerian Bar Association, particularly the Yenagoa bar, through the positions she has held in the NBA.
She served as Assistant Publicity Secretary and eventually as the Publicity Secretary of the branch under the leadership of Mr. Collins Bolegha sometime in 2006.
Between 2009 and 2011, she also served as Treasurer under the administration of Mr. Stanley Damabide. It was during this time that the celebration of Bayelsa Night at the Annual General Conference was initiated with financial support from the likes of F.T. Okorotie SAN and others.
Interestingly, that Annual General Conference was held at Hamdala Hotel, Kaduna State, where the first Bayelsa Night was celebrated by her Exco.
In 2013, she contested an election as chairperson of FIDA, one of the very keenly contested elections for her. She barely slept over the period of those elections, but God gave her victory with a margin of about 70-30.She served as a co-opted member of the Clement Bruboyefe-led Exco from 2017 to 2019.
The bar-friendly lawyer has also served the bar in either the Law Week Planning Committee or the Annual General Conference Planning Committee as chairperson or otherwise, in every other year she did not hold executive positions, over her years in the profession.
She ably led the campaign team that brought in F.T. Okorotie as Chairman of the branch in 2019.
She is currently the Head of the Gender-Based Violence and Child Rights Unit of the Ministry of Justice, Bayelsa State Government.
Her pledge is to always represent the positive interests of the bar in any forum she is given the privilege.
