Of The Seven Justices That Ruled On Wearing Hijab In Public Schools 5 Are Muslims And Two Christians

The Acting CJN was on that panel.

The justices are;

Note that the 5 Muslim Members of the panel are the ones who dismissed the Appeal and affirmed the Judgment of the Court of Appeal that set aside the Trial Court’s judgment.

The 2 Christian Members of the panel I.e Hon. Justice Inyang Okoro, JSC & Hon. Justice Emmanuel Agim, JSC are the ones who dissented on the ground that it will offend the principle of public policy to allow wearing of Hijab in Public Primary Schools in view of the secularity of our pursuant to S. 10 of the 1999 constitution as amended.
