Ramadan Starts On Saturday; Kubwa Faithfuls Urged To Pray For Those In Kidnappers Den

After the report of sighting of the moon by National Moonsighting Committee and announcement by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, Ramadan (fasting), commences.

Ramadan is a month-long religious exercise for Muslims. It is a time of self-reflection and strengthening their relationship with God. Ramadan is dictated by the lunar cycle, beginning and ending with a crescent moon.

This year’s Ramadan will last from April 2 to May 2.

Sultan of Sokoto

Suleiman Musa a Muslim, said that residents of Kubwa, should fast and pray in this holy month, that Allah may grant Nigeria peace and for the immediate release of all those in captivity, especially those kidnapped in Kaduna after terrorists attacked a train.
