TODAY’S FOCUS: UNDERSTANDING KINGDOM RELATIONSHIP:
Text: Prov.1:5 let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.
Prov. 2:3 Indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,
vs.4. ….and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
vs5. ….then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
vs6 ……….For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Prov. 24:3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
vs4………through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.
Introduction:
The issue of Relationship is the most fundamental social aspect of all humans. It is an important area that non of us in this room and those watching online can do without. Why is this so? Because every mortal is a product of relationship. The fact that you were born makes you automatically a descendant of relationship…Example, you didn’t fall from the sky… We are all products of relationships… Someone had you in her womb for 9months…
Secondly, Your emotional dispositions are products of relation: Do you know that both the pains and joys of your life are product of relationships. For instance, your unhappiness is tied to relationship, e.g. offenses by spouse, Â a child misbehaving, a colleague insulted you or spoke in a way you don’t like, your boss refused to increase your pay etc. the same is true when the above works well as planned, it produces joy and happiness. That is why When marriages falls apart everything else falls; thereby affecting the larger society. Whatever the nation suffers is the outcome of what happens in a nucleus family.
👉🏽 Majority of the marital break-ups and relationship heart-breaks would have been remedied had the people involved had the requisite knowledge to deal with the situations. The irony is that, it is possible to be filled with the Holy Ghost and still have problems fixing your relationship and the reason is lack of knowledge.
So, being filled with the Holy Spirit does not automatically mean you have the knowledge to fix your relationship. Example, you can have all the tools at the trunk of your car and still not be able to fix the car when it breaks down.
👉🏽 Not spiritual endowment but knowledge of the truth: For 17years of our marriage (married to the best lady on earth) and almost 29years of being saved, I realize that prayer, fasting and speaking in tongues does not cancel ignorance in relationship. What does is knowledge. Most marriages are destroyed not because the spouses don’t love each other but because they lacked the knowledge that would have enabled them overcome their problems.
👉🏽 A misunderstood concept: It is no longer in doubt that the word “love” is one of the most misconstrued, wrongly interpreted and applied word among humans of all races, culture, and languages.
