The monthly meeting of NBA Bwari, holds on Friday 4th February, 2022 at Gadis Event Centre, Bwari Road, Dutse Alahaji, Abuja. Time of the meeting, is 3PM prompt.
This first meeting of the year, is hosted by Dr. Mohammhed Ndarani Mohammhed, SAN (Hukunci Nupe) and promises to meet the requirements of the real bar and tickle the palates of members.
The Chairman of the Branch, Monday Ajah, Esq, urges members to turn up early so as to benefit from the free medical screening and care.
A member of the branch who pleaded that her name be withheld, congratulates the new Exco on their achievements within the short time they have been in office and praised the combradiery during the monthly meetings since July 2021 Mr. Ajah led Exco took over the Branch.
Despite this praise, she expressed worry that the Branch is still using loose sheets to keep attendance of meeting. She recalls that attendance had always been issue during compilation of voters list.
She asks what is wrong with the Branch buying a note book and use same as its register?
Another member of the Branch, alleged that this use of loose sheets, is plan by the Exco to rig the election a year before election date. He queried why the Secretary has refused to use the hardcover note book donated by B.O.Nafagah-former Chairman of the Branch. He said the continuous refusal by the Secretary to allow hardcover note book to be used, is a recipe for crisis as it is a foolproof master plan to smuggle in names, make up five attendances for those this Exco is sure will vote for their preferred candidates in next year’s election.
He threatened to petition NBA national, if February’s meeting attendance is recorded on loose sheets. What kind of Secretariat is the Secretary running he thundered. He further called on the elders of the Branch to caution the Secretary and compel him to cause the hardcover note book be used.
According to the 14 point Agenda released by the Secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Olowononi, the meeting will discuss; setting up Committees, State of Association’s Account & Fund Raising Strategies, Issuance of Cheque For Welfare Scheme among other points.
