Independence Day; NBA Nyanya/Karu Branch Human Right Committee Visits Police Stations

The Independence Liberty movement train 2025 powered by the Human Rights committee of the Nyanya Karu Branch has just pulled off its innovative campaign for justice at all Police formations within the jurisdiction.
This movement led by the Vice Chairman of the branch, Chief Constance Orji had in attendance great human rights defenders within and outside the branch.
The team visited several police formations where they interacted with the officers on the need for upholding the rule of law and preserving the human right of suspects while carrying out their duties of protecting the citizens.
The team also conducted an on the spot assessments of detention places of the Police Stations where it engaged with the detainees many of who showed excitement at the opportunity of the visit.To mark this year’s independence, the team gave snacks to the detainees, secured release of some and other sanitary supplies to the Police Stations and pledged to continue the exercise as a partner in justice.
The highlight of the event was the commendation by the officers of Karshi, Kurudu, Jikwoyi, and Karu Police Stations, of the Branch NBA as custodians of justice and the commitment to ensuring a free and fair process of criminal administration.The following Human Rights Defenders and Activists were in attendance :

17. ⁠Emmanuel AgadaIn her charge, the Committee Chairperson Chief Constance, reminded all lawyers of their duty as human rights advocates and urged Lawyers all over Nigeria to keep fighting against injustice.Other lawyers including the Secretary of the Committee, Collins Marshall also reiterated the importance of justice in the process of national development.
