The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) has constituted a high-powered Conference Planning Committee (CPC) for the Section’s forthcoming *Annual Conference scheduled to hold in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State from the 18th to the 21st day of November 2025.
According to the PRESS RELEASE dated 3rd September, 2025 and signed by the NBA-SPIDEL Chair and Secretary, the 2025 SPIDEL CPC is Chaired by the renowned President and founder of Prisons Rehabilitation and Welfare Action (PRAWA), Assoc. Prof. Uju Agomo, and Paul Daudu, SAN as Alternate Chair, while the Chairman of NBA Calabar branch, Enome Amatey, serves as CPC Secretary.
Recall the rebirth of NBA-SPIDEL by President Afam Osigwe, SAN with a Transition Committee led by Prof. Paul Ananaba, SAN as Chairman, and Okey Ohagba, Esq, as Secretary, amongst others. Part of the Transition Committee ToRs include, inter alia, to rejuvenate and rebirth SPIDEL as a vital public interest section of the NBA, organize a robust Annual Conference of the section, and conduct council elections thereat.In line with her given mandate, the NBA-SPIDEL at her Annual General Meeting held on the 28th of August, 2025 at ICC Enugu, during the just concluded NBA-AGC, approved Akwa-Ibom State as the Host State for the 2025 NBA-SPIDEL Annual Conference.
The AGM equally approved the appointment of the Conference Planning Committee as conveyed in the Press Release, to wit;
