NBA KADUNA BRANCH HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE JOINS THE 16 DAYS ACTIVISM AGAINST SEXUAL AND GENDER BASED VIOLENCE.
The NBA Kaduna Branch Human Rights Committee, under the stewardship of the Branch Vice Chairman, Nuhu Ibrahim Esq, SCIPDM kicked off it’s 16 days Activism Against Gender Based Abuse and Violence, with a visit to the Office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kaduna State Hon. Sule Shua’ibu (SAN) at the State Secretariat to discuss initiatives the Kaduna State Government can embark upon to ensure the protection of the vulnerable members of the society against sexual abuse and violence.
The Committee also paid a visit to Kaduna State Police Command to see the Commissioner of Police.
A football Novelty Match between Team Attorney General (AG) Kaduna State V. Team (FIDA) Kaduna State Chapter was organized at the Police Officer’s Mess Five Aside Pitch, and the team of the Gentlemen in skirts clinched a victory winning 2 – 3.
During the football game, conversations were raised as to why there should also be more activism against Male Abuse and Violence in the society, and someone jokingly commented that maybe there should be MIDA (International Federation of Male Lawyers).
The Branch’s Human Rights Committee is also collaborating with the State’s National Human Rights Commission for a Joint Road Walk on 10th December, 2024, to Kick Off 7am at Wharf Road, Kaduna State.
The NBA Kaduna Branch Human Rights Committee shall continue to demonstrate its unwavering support to the protection of the Fundamental Human Rights of all Citizens.
