After over a month, primary school teachers in FCT downed their chalks, Gwagwalada and AMAC teaches have picked theirs and have resumed teaching today.
According to an exco member of NUT, teachers in councils resumed teaching because their chairmen have met demands set out by FCT NUT as conditions to be met before teaching can be resumed.
With this payment and resumption by these two, students in the other Area councils of Bwari, Kuje, Kwali and Anahi, are hopeful that they too will soon return to school.
At the time of downing their chalks one month ago, insisting no pay no resumption; their demands were; that the area councils must pay their members a log of arrears that cut across payment in promotion, and minimum wage beginning from 2011.
