The inaugural conference of the NBA-SBL Northern Zonal Conference is scheduled to be held in the city of Kano on October 12, 2023, with the theme “Strategic Legal Mastery: Arbitration, Corporate Governance, and Intellectual Property Landscapes.”
There will be three sessions as follows:
Panel 1 – Arbitration.
Sub-theme: Resolving Disputes in a Globalized World: The Arbitration Alternative.
Moderator: Hauwa Kaka Usman FCIArb (UK) – Legal Aid Council, Abuja.
Panel 2 – Corporate Governance.
Sub-theme: Corporate Governance Excellence: Building Trust and Sustainability.
Moderator: Ibrahim Abdullahi – CEO, Nasarawa State Investment Development Agency.
Panel 3 – Intellectual Property.Sub-theme: Intellectual Property – Nurturing Creativity and Innovation in a Time of Economic Change.
Moderator: Saadatu Hamu – Managing Partner, Hamu Legal, Abuja.

Additionally, the conference will conclude with a formal dinner and gala night in the evening.
