After suffering two postponements, the Quarterly General Meeting of the Eastern Bar Forum (EB), will take place from Friday 18th August to Sunday 20th August, 2023 at Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Friday is arrival and welcome cocktail. We are reliably informed that after this, some NBA 2024 aspirants, will paint the Garden City red, as they meet and greet, get to know members of EBF.
Saturday, will birth the business of the meeting. Election of new officers. As is custom, contest is not expected but consensus to resolve the issue of who will serve as Secretary of EBF.
As at press time, all other offices, have been filed, leaving Seth Nwokolo and Kennedy Ikechukwu Onwusi of Oji River and Enugu Branches respectively, to succumb to pressure and step down for one or be subjected to election.
Meanwhile, Aniekan Akpan, Esq of the Akwa-Cross component of EBF, has emerged unopposed as the Governor General of EBF.
