According Charles C Agubor Executive Director of CADII, Nigeria’s endemic corruption is the country’s greatest challenge to the stability of our economy and democracy, despite all of government’s anti-graft effort.
This raises questions about the Nigeria institutions ability to tackle corruption. We have seen with amazement people who are literally corrupt, witnessed institutions of various types collapsing at the weight of corruption. We have witnessed corruption systematized and taking solid structures not easy to demolish. Often we have found ourselves tempted to yield to desperation and to accept corruption”away of life”. To the extent it has affected the younger generation.
New methods of corruption have been introduced instead of new products and new methods of production.
It was from this perspective that the Committed Advocates of Integrity Initiative (CADII), in partnership with National Human Right Commission (NHRC) are organizing and hosting a National Integrity Summit (NIS). To promote and advocate for integrity amongst people of all walks of life, in the bids to make integrity a more visible and dominant values in our society, in a way to awaken competitions and honest dealings in all systems, towards building a better and prosperous corrupt free Nation Nigeria.
