Despite NBA Bwari maintaining its tradition of always having her leadership selection process going through petitions and appeal, this year’s election has set two outstanding records.
It is now on record as the first electioneering process that has the highest number of petitions against its conduct.
This resulted in the NBA Branches Election Appeal Committee (North) indicting the whole process and has to upturn all the decisions of the Ashu led Electoral Committee.
Another historical feat of this process is, the Chairmanship position is being contested unopposed.
The nearest the Branch got to this was during her second election between B.O.Nafagah and Ahmad Luqman. Luqman participated in the process.
This historical non-contest, has produced Paul Babatunde Daudu, Esq as NBA Bwari Chairman in waiting. His coronation will take place at the AGM of the Branch slated for Monday 26th June, 2023; after election into other posts would have taken place on Saturday 24th June.
Other officers who emerged unopposed are; Maryam Osiri—-Financial Secretary.
Ehijimentor Oriere Treasurer.
The Appeal Committee upholding the zoning arrangement in the Branch, forced Maxwell Opara and Chidi Dimgba from the South East to withdraw, paving the express road for Hajarat Gbolade from South West, to cruise home as the Vice Chairman.
