The news of the release of the past President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Okey Wali, SAN, from the hands of his kidnappers is indeed heartwarming and relieving.
I join the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Bar Leaders, our colleagues and well wishers to commend the Rivers State Government and the security operatives for the proactive step taken towards ensuring the immediate release of our esteemed leader from captivity.
Once again, may I call on government at various levels to continue to beef up security in order to ensure the safety of lives and properties of all Nigerians.
I pray for the speedy recovery of our leader from the psychological trauma this must have caused him.
