Being unable to debunk the pungent allegations in petition (https://kubwaexpress.com/2023/02/12/pastor-petitions-christian-association-of-nigeria-can-accuses-pentecostal-churches-of-receiving-lion-shares-of-the-money-given-by-peter-obi/) to CAN, supporters of Labour Party Presidential candidate, have gone after the petitioner, Frank Onwumere.
Their first attack is that the address on the petition, at Okigwe Rd Owerri, doesn’t house his Church.
Second attack is that he was Rochas Okorocha’s SA and did not conduct himself well at one APC Convention held at Eagle Square, Abuja.
Thirdly, they claim that he is crying wolf because he was left out of the sharing.
Fourthly they claim that other presidential candidates too had given money to religious bodies to get endorsement.
In a counter, some Nigerians we interacted with, insisted that Frank Onwumere, is a known person and if Peter Obi, CAN PFN feel he lied or defamed them, they should approach the Court.
They further maintain that there are lawyers, who use all manner of addresses to receive court processes without their law firm residing in the said addresses.
They call on OBI’s supporters who had being claiming that they want to birth a new Nigeria, to petition EFCC to investigate CAN, PFN and other churches mentioned in the said petition.
On our own part, we have sent è-mail to the email address provided in the petition and have also called the numbers.
The second number (+234) 7010147818, was not reachable while the response we got on calling the first number, (+234) 8181884999 was that, “the number is not assigned to customer, please check the number and dial again.”
