On Sunday, January 1, 2023, armed men, believed to be bandits, struck in Kubwa, abducting 4 persons and disappeared into Niger State through the hills bordering Niger & FCT.
According to residents of Baipe, bandits struck at about 2 am Sunday morning. “They kidnapped four men; one of them is Yoruba, two are Igala, and the fourth one is Tiv.”
During the attack, one of the victims was stabbed in the chest in the presence of his pregnant wife.
It should be recalled that on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, bandits killed two persons and abducted seven residents in the Kubwa Extension II Relocation Estate, along the Arab Road area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Those kidnapped have not been released and we are informed that the bandits had demanded N160 million as a ransom for two female victims of the December 6, 2022 attack.
