IGP Appoints New Commissioner For FCT Abuja

The Inspector General of Nigeria Police Force, on Friday, announced the appointment of CP Sadiq Idris Abubakar to FCT Police Command, as the 29th Commissioner of Police in-charge.

CP Sadiq takes over from CP Babaji Sunday.
CP Sadiq enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1992, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and has since served the Force and the country at large in diverse capacities.

CP Sadiq, holds a PhD and a Masters of Education in Educational Psychology, from University of Abuja.  (BSc.Ed) in Geography from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.

CP Sadiq, while thanking the Inspector General of Police, for the confidence reposed on him to serve in this capacity, assured the residents of FCT of a new dispensation of professional policing, and improved public safety and security.

He equally warned criminal elements in the FCT to steer clear and commit to legitimate ventures, noting the resolve of the Command under his watch to make FCT,  uncomfortable for crimes and criminality.
