Reverend (Dr.) Uma Ukpai, a renowned international evangelist and the founder and president of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association (UUEA), has died.
According to an official statement issued by the family on Monday, Rev. Ukpai passed away at the age of 80.
The revered cleric, widely celebrated for his decades of impactful ministry and humanitarian work, was described as a man who dedicated his entire life to spreading the gospel, mentoring young ministers, and fostering unity within the body of Christ.
In their statement, the family called for thanksgiving rather than sorrow, urging believers to celebrate a life well-lived in service to God and humanity.
Our father has finished his race and is now resting in eternal praise,” the statement read in part.
