I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Nigerian Bar Association – Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF) of the FCT branches of Gwagwalada, Garki, Bwari, Nyanya, and Abuja, and to the respective forums under these branches, for the resounding success of your recently held picnic.
The importance of a picnic cannot be overstated. Beyond leisure, it serves as a platform for bonding, relaxation, and strengthening the fraternity among young lawyers. In our often demanding and rigorous profession, such an avenue provides the needed balance between work and wellness, fostering camaraderie and a spirit of unity. It was truly heartwarming to see that the objectives of the picnic — fellowship, networking, and rejuvenation — were fully achieved.
My interactions with officials of the different branches, both before and during the event, revealed your unwavering commitment to the welfare, development, and solidarity of young lawyers. It is refreshing to see that even at this stage of your careers, you are demonstrating such dedication to the Bar and its values.
To our fresh wigs, I encourage you to embrace the Young Lawyers Forum of your chosen branch. YLF is more than a gathering; it is a nursery for leadership, mentorship, and professional growth.By engaging actively, you will find guidance, support, and opportunities that will shape your practice and enrich your journey at the Bar.
As one who remains passionate about mentoring and investing in young lawyers, I restate my firm commitment to your growth. I will continue to offer guidance, encouragement, and support, knowing that the future strength of the Bar lies in your hands.
Once again, congratulations to the YLFs of Gwagwalada, Garki, Bwari, Nyanya, and Abuja Branches. May this picnic serve as a reminder that while we pursue excellence in the law, we must also nurture unity, wellness, and friendship among ourselves.
Signed.
