PRESS STATEMENT
I received with deep concern the reports of the abduction of some of our young colleagues, including a newly called female lawyer and her sister, along the Okene axis in Kogi State while returning from the recent Call to Bar ceremony.
This incident is heartbreaking. No family should have to endure such trauma.
I call on our security agencies to act swiftly to ensure their safe release and to intensify efforts to secure our highways. 
The safety of citizens, and particularly of those who dedicate their lives to the service of justice, must never be negotiable.
May God grant the victims safe return to their loved ones, and may we see the day when Nigerians can travel freely without fear.
