Child Abuse; FIDA Ikorodu Stands In Solidarity With Abayomi Michael

FIDA Ikorodu Branch strongly condemns the inhumane treatment meted on a minor 3 year old Abayomi Michael who was assaulted by a teacher Stella Nwadiogo at Christ- Mitots School Ikorodu Lagos State.
The Chair person FIDA Ikorodu Mrs MC Bolowotan upon receipt of the complaint and upon viewing the viral video swiftly swung into action and proceeded to register the presence of FIDA Ikorodu with other Executives of FIDA to Owutu Division where the suspect has been arrested and waiting to be arraigned at the law court.
The Chairperson reiterates that this atrocious act is a blatant violation of the child’s fundamental rights and dignity.
She said that FIDA Ikorodu is dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of children, we are deeply disturbed by this incident and demand that the suspect be held accountable.She further called on the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and ensure that justice is served. She vowed to follow the case to a logical conclusion and urged the government to take concrete measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
She said “As a society, we have a collective responsibility to protect and safeguard the well-being of our children. We must work together to create a safe and nurturing environment that allows children to thrive and reach their full potential”.
FIDA Ikorodu stands in solidarity with Abayomi Michael and his family, and will continue to advocate for the rights and dignity of all children.
