My fellow NEC Members,
DESTINATION ENUGU.
As we depart our various destinations for the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting holding at Enugu, Enugu State, the first NEC meeting of the present administration under our President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, I wish you all journey mercies to Enugu and also use this medium to welcome you to the last quarter NEC of the association, in the ever vibrant Coal City.Our NEC meeting is where major policy decisions that affects our members and the association generally in line with our Constitution are made, I pray for God’s guidance, wisdom and direction to lead us through the plenary session and to arrive at useful decisions that will further strengthen our association.
Our NEC also afford us the opportunity to interact/network with our brothers and sisters from other branches across the length and breadth of the country as well as familiarize ourselves with other parts of our great country, I implore us to make the best use of this rare opportunity in this ever alive City of Enugu.The choice of the city of Enugu as the venue of the NEC meeting is well thought out and I therefore encourage al of us to find time to explore the bountiful and beautiful sights and sounds of the capital city of the south-east.
Why it is not in doubt that Enugu is safe and mechanism has been put in place by the Organising Committee to make this a memorable meeting; please lets adhere to all security advises given by the Organising Committee.
To Mr. President, I say congratulations. You made a perfect choice of venue, and with the benefit of your experience as a BAR MAN, I know that members are going to witness a meeting that will herald the rebirth and repositioning of our association into the era of a PRO-ACTIVE BAR.
Once again I welcome you to the wonderful and serene city of Enugu for the NBA NEC and wish us all fruitful deliberations and upon conclusion, journey mercies back to our various destinations.
