EBF Microzones 1st Vice President To South-South

EBF RESOLUTION ON THE POSITION OF THE 1ST VICE PRESIDENT OF THE NBA.

The EBF has resolved by unanimous vote that the position of 1st Vice President of the NBA is exclusively zoned to the South South bloc of the EBF in line with Article 11 of its constitution. The resolution was taken at the Uyo Quarterly Meeting on Saturday, 22nd June, 2024 after deliberating on the report of its Screening Committee chaired by Mr Marc Enamhe.
Accordingly, contestants from the South Eastern bloc of the EBF are to step down from from contesting for the office and support any of the candidates from the South South bloc.
They are to cease forthwith from campaigning on any EBF platform and their election materials may not be used on any of our EBF or branch platforms.
It is expected that we all abide by this decision in the overall interest of the unity and strength of the EBF. All our branch Chairmen are directed to implement this decision firmly. Sanctions set out in the EBF Constitution will apply to any Chairman or branch Executive that allows the use of such materials on their branch platforms.
The South South bloc is made up of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River and Rivers States.
The EBF commends the bloc for respecting the EBF Constitution by not contesting for the office of President of the NBA which is zoned to the South East bloc.

For the avoidance of doubt, the EBF will bring the full wrath of its constitution to bear on any member, contestant, branch Chairman or Executive that flouts this resolution or the directives contained in Article 11 of its constitution.Aniekan Akpan, Esq.
