Ejike Ugwu: Ferdinand Naza Condemns Abduction

Statement from Ferdinand Naza, Candidate for the Office of National Publicity Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association.

It is with deep concern and a heavy heart that I address the tragic and alarming situation surrounding the kidnapping of Mr. Ejike Ugwu, which occurred on the 8th of June, 2024. Mr. Ugwu’s abduction by unknown kidnappers is a stark reminder of the pervasive security challenges facing our nation. Mr. Ejike Ugwu, a respected member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu Branch. His disappearance is not only apprehensive to him and his family but also an affront to the values we uphold as legal practitioners.
I unequivocally condemn this heinous act and call upon the relevant security agencies to prioritize the safe and swift return of Mr. Ugwu.
It is imperative that the perpetrators of this crime are brought to justice, serving as a deterrent to those who seek to undermine the safety and security of our nation.
I also urge the members of the Nigerian Bar Association and the general public to remain vigilant and cooperative with law enforcement agencies during this trying time. The safety of every citizen is paramount, and we must all work together to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Ugwu’s family, friends, and NBA Enugu Branch. Let us remain hopeful and steadfast in our efforts to secure his release and ensure that justice prevails.
