The Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) wishes to reaffirm that the EBF Summit 2024 and Quarterly Meeting will take place as originally scheduled from June 20th to June 22nd, 2024, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. This announcement comes in light of concerns that the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), which is set to occur from June 19th to June 21st, 2024, in Abuja, might affect our planned programmes.
We would like to clarify that the NEC meeting, which is hybrid, as indicated in the notice issued by the General Secretary of the NBA, involves the arrival of NEC members on Wednesday, June 19th, with the departure scheduled for Friday, June 21st.
This schedule ensures that members attending the NEC meeting will have ample time to travel to Uyo for the EBF Summit and Quarterly Meeting, which commences on the evening of June 20th.
Uyo is conveniently accessible by both land and air, facilitating seamless travel arrangements for participants.
The EBF is committed to ensuring that our members can participate fully in both the NEC meeting and the EBF Summit. We have taken necessary measures to accommodate the schedules of our members, and we are confident that the transition between the two events will be smooth.
The EBF Summit 2024 will feature a robust agenda aimed at addressing key issues affecting our region and the legal profession at large. We encourage all members to make the necessary travel arrangements to ensure their presence at this significant gathering.
We look forward to welcoming you to Uyo and appreciate your continued dedication and support for the Eastern Bar Forum.
