It’s with great pleasure that I welcome you all to this auspicious event of our 2024 Law Week with the Theme: “Interrogating The Judicial Responses To The Application Of ICT As A Panacea To Electoral Malpractices In Nigeria“.
Law Week that has been a biennial celebration in our Branch has not been held since after that of 2020 for reason of insecurity within and around the Old Aguata Region of the State.
Thank God that by the special grace of God and good governance of the government of the day in the State, a lot has been done to curb the unfortunate tide.
Since inception, the NBA Aguata Branch has continued its search for a revolutionizing role for our noble profession in the seemingly impracticable task of reshaping and re-routing the Nigerian nation through very rich and robust indepth lectures characterized by choices of our Law Week themes in the past. 
The 2024 theme is yet another modest contribution of our Branch to the “Nigerian Project” beginning with the keynote address to be delivered by Professor O.N Ogbu – a professor of Law, after which, we shall have Discussants that will take the stage on related issue. I therefore invite all of us to be attentive to the lectures so as to go home richer in knowledge and satisfaction than we came.
This 2024 Law Week will climax with the unveiling and presentation of our new Frontline Bar Journals in two Volumes published by our Branch; and also conferment of Merit Awards to some deserving members of our society from different walks of life at a well-organized sumptuous Dinner of the Branch.
We congratulate in advance the Bar Awardees and challenge them to continue in the years ahead to continually justify the honors bestowed on them by further investment in integrity and industry.
