CAC Partners SMEDAN To Catalyze SME Growth 10,000 Jobs In Focus

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is making arrangements to partner with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development
Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) to create 10,000 jobs, amongst others.This was revealed during a meeting between the Registrar-General of the CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, and the Director General, SMEDAN, Mr. Charles Odii.
The SMEDAN boss revealed that a 5-billion-naira loan at single-digit interest has been secured from a famous Nigerian bank to drive the project.
He therefore requested support and collaboration with the CAC to actualize the project, which is scheduled to launch in January 2024.The CAC Registrar-General, while responding, assured the Commission’s readiness to fully partner with SMEDAN.
He described the initiative as laudable and in tandem with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.CAC News reports that the SMEDAN DG was accompanied on the visit by Dr. Aishatu Kabir of KPMG, who is expected to facilitate the actualization of the project, which will also focus on increasing manufacturing output and export income, thereby catalyzing SME growth.
