After the video of a patient “rejected” by Maitama General Hospital posted on social media, Dr. Imuentinyan Igbinovia, Medical Director, Maitama District Hospital, reached out to our co-publisher, Felix Ashimole and via his WhatsApp number 0803 71..818 narrates as follows;
“Good evening, Barrister.
These are the facts. The lady was brought to the hospital by some good samaritans that picked up the body by the road side.IMG_8561On arrival in our accident and emergency unit,she was first seen immediately by the nurse who certified her dead(video had not been made as at this time),the nurse informed the doctor of the situation, the doctor joined the nurse in reexamining the deceased and a decision was then made to transfer the body to the morgue. I believe the people that brought the body became agitated and made that video.
The body was then evacuated from the car and deposited in our morgue.The family has been contacted.”
