NBA Uyo Branch, couldn’t hold her election within the month of June, due to accusations of malpractice, adulterating of voters list, amongst others.
These accusations, necessitated the NBA President, YC Maikyau OON, SAN, to set up a committee, with the sole mandate to within one month, conduct election, in accordance with the Uniform Bye Law for NBA Branches.
On Friday, 28th July, the Committee, delivered on its mandate and with this delivery, emerged Augustine Udo, Esq., as Chairman. He and other elected officers, were immediately sworn in.
I heartily congratulate Augustine Udo and his brand new team and pray they uphold the best practice of the Bar in all they do and do nothing that will bring NBA Uyo, to the precipice.
