aptResponse is out to revolutionize the legal tech space in Nigeria as we are not only focused on the provision of legal services in times of emergency, but also focused on powering young lawyers to practice their trade.
aptResponse enable lawyers to provide the following services:
a) Emergency Response: Respond to emergency legal issues happening around you.
b) Police Invitation: Provide legal representation to users that have received an invitation from a law enforcement agency.
c) Small Claims: Help citizens resolve small claims issues like debt recovery, breach of contract or tenancy disputes.
How it works: We connect lawyers to new clients in four simple steps.
1. Download the app, register, and verify your account.
2. Add supporting documents for verification as a lawyer.
3. Update your profile by adding your state and your bank details to your wallet.
4. Sit back and wait for requests to come in.
How much does it cost and how do I get paid: aptResponse is currently free for lawyers to subscribe and all fees earned can be withdrawn from the wallet to the registered bank account. How do I render pro-bono service on aptResponse?
Pro-bono services are currently not available on the platform.
What are the requirements for lawyers to sign up on the app?
To sign up on aptResponse, lawyer would provide its verified supreme court number. An official photo ID (Driver license, Voter’s card, National ID, or international passport.

Can i sign up group of lawyers as a firm or just individual?
Application is built to sign in individual lawyers.
Who determines service charges for a request?Emergency response and police invitation has a fixed service charge.
While lawyer determines the service charge for small claims.
Note, the small claims consultation is at a fixed rate.
Can I respond to cases outside my state?Emergency Response uses GPS, as such only lawyers within close range of 5 km can receive request notifications from clients.
Police invitation and small claims are determined by your chosen state in your account profile.
This means lawyers can only receive and respond to client requests outside their location when they set up their preferred location from the profile.
How are lawyers verified?
We have an in-house team that conducts the proper search on each lawyer that registers before they are approved on the platform.
One of the criteria is that every lawyer must have a Supreme Court Number and should have been verified by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
