On 17th July, it will be one year, since YC Maikyau OON, SAN was elected NBA President. He pulled the highest number of popular votes in NBA history.
Tongues are wagging but words whizzing from clinched teeth, easily becomes mute, if you dare ask; What are you saying about YC’s one year in office? 
Lawyers have been going round Nigeria consulting on their ambition; sending new month’s, Sallah, new rain wishes and I won’t forget falling over themselves, to be the first to congratulate Branch XYZ on the successful hosting of their Law Week, AGM and election of new exco. I am also guilty of this.
But what I am not guilty of, is silence in demanding that we x-ray the manifestos of those in office and see how far they have actualized the lofty contents that made us entrust them with our votes.
The 3 leading candidates consulting for the office of the NBA President, which had been zoned to the East(1963 map of Nigeria), should be taken to task on YC Maikyau’s Manifesto. I am not worthy to dabble into it or untie the shoelace of these trio.
For the office of the Publicity Secretary, where Akorede Habeeb Lawal is in charge, I can bare my chest and engage. Like an Azaraegbelu warrior embalming himself before going to war, I am ready for the misunderstanding that will come from this journey I want to embark as most office holders, abhor demands for accountability.
From now to the 2023 AGC, I will go through the Manifesto of Akorede Habeeb Lawal as published, with sole aim of combing through, to see if he had performed well in the last one year, are there areas of improvement and what can anyone do to stand on his shoulders and do better.
