According to Saidu Ibrahim, a resident of Kuka in Kwali Area Council of the FCT Abuja, a fisherman, rescued a one month old baby abandoned at the banks of Gurara River.
Ibrahim speaking to newsmen said, “ that a fisherman who went to the river on Saturday to check his nets discovered a baby boy wrapped with clothes and a N1,000 note in the clothes.
He said, “The fisherman then took the baby the chief’s palace. I think the chief directed that the baby be taken to the social welfare department of Kwali Area Council.”
