Throughout the raging controversy and lorry load of petitions against the Electoral Committee in NBA Bwari, Clement Chukwuemeka, the 2nd Vice President of NBA, kept quiet.
But was he quiet or playing some underground kurukere waka?
We have it on good authority that throughout the Easter and Ramadan holidays, he was involved in marathon meetings with aspirants, leaning on some of them to step down for his preferred candidates. He was resisted and despite being a Chairman produced as a result of zoning arrangement in the Branch, he went about canvassing that zoning is not constitutional and should not be applicable in the forthcoming NBA election because his candidate would fall under the ax.
Furthermore, he exited all known WhatsApp groups in the branch where the issue of zoning were being discussed.
The NBA Appeal Committee for Branches (North) summoned and met with petitioners from NBA Bwari. Clement Chukwuemeka, the only NBA National Officer in the Branch, did not butt in any opinion to help the Appeal Committee but few days and on the eve of the election, Clement Chukwuemeka took to NBA Facebook page to appeal to the Appeal Committee that he snubbed and made no representation(s) before. His post reads; 
PASSIONATE APPEAL TO NBA BRANCH ELECTION APPEAL COMMITTEES!! FROM THE DESK OF 2ND VICE PRESIDENT!!
As many branches across Nigeria queue up for their various branch elections starting from this weekend , it is my peaceful admonition to the committees to use strictly the wordings of the NBA constitution and nothing more in deciding petitions brought before them, in other words :
The various Branch election appeal committees set up by the national body to resolve issues and petitions arising from branches pre and post elections should be guided by the NBA constitution /uniform bylaw as amended in deciding the petitions before them to prevent attracting crisis to be resolved by the VICE PRESIDENTS.
I admonish them on behalf of the Vice Presidents to adhere strictly to the tenets of the NBA constitution and should not manufacture any personal rules to handle what ever petitions that is brought before them.
Any attempt to go contrary to the tenets of the constitution of NBA will amount to amendment of the constitution of NBA which is the exclusive preserve of the AGM.
Election is not a do or die affair as I wish all the branches a rancor free , transparent and peaceful elections. God bless NBA
