The Federal Capital Territory Administration, is installing made in China street lights at major intersections in Abuja.
According to an officer with Road Safety Commission, the traffic lights, are not only to compel motorists to stop and obey traffic rules but they will also serve as an enforcer.
He further said, any time motorist beats the traffic lights, his or her plate number, will be captured and stored in Road Safety and VIO data base with fine attached.
The defaulter, will be confronted with this evidence whenever he comes to renew his car papers or arrested for any other traffic infraction.
Failure to pay, will result in your papers not being renewed and your car impounded until you pay up the accumulated fine.
