Barely 24 hours to the commencement of voting in the first election in NBA Nyanya/Karu Branch, Ichie Magnus Osita Onwukwe, Esq., has petitioned NBA Branch Election Appeal Committee (North), challenging his disqualification by Steve Emelieze led Committee.
The Committee disqualified him for his inability to show evidence of payment of 2021 Branch dues.
Aggrieved and in disagreement with this ground, he has approached the NBA, praying the NBA President to, “ TO SAVE OUR NASCENT BRANCH FROM IMMINENT CATASTROPHE.”

PETITION AGAINST TYRANNY, HIGH-HANDEDNESS, UNDEMOCRATIC AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL/IMPOSITION OF UNFOUNDED ELECTORAL GUIDELINES/RULES’ BY THE STEVE EMELIEZE’S LED “ELECTION COMMITTEE FOR THE NYANYA/KARU BRANCH -PASSIONATE REQUEST TO SAVE OUR NASCENT BRANCH FROM IMMINENT CATASTROPHE.
Refer, please, the above subject matter.
I am one of the Aspirants for the Office of Chairman of the Nyanya/Karu Branch in the proposed Branch Elections.
I was, however, disqualified’ by the Electoral Committee for want of Attendance at meetings, amongst others.
Consequent upon my supposed disqualification’, I applied for the issuance of Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Attendance Records, amongst others so soon thereafter.
To my greatest chagrin and in demonstration of highhandedness, committee Chairman replied thus: “refer me to the relevant sections of the uniform Bye-Law or the NBA Constitution that entitles you to these documents..” thereby failed, refused and denied me access. to the requested documents.
The vexed questions begging for answers thus are: from which Uniform Bye Law or the NBA Constitution did the Committee draw the Election Guide lines imposed on the Branch for the proposed elections?
If varied or waive, peradventure, at what Venue, Forum or Meeting was same passed and adopted?
The Committee Chairman has variously being accused of compromise of every known ethos, tenets and principles of an unbiased Umpire in the build-up to the proposed elections. He has displayed and portrayed himself as the cheer-leader of one of the Aspirants to the office of Chairman; granting undue advantages to his favoured Aspirants.
Thus, the Steve Emelieze’s led Electoral Committee is on a voyage of birthing imminent catastrophe in the nascent Nyanya/Karu Branch.
Accordingly, Sir, I respectfully beacon on you, to use your very good offices to arrest this snowballing deepening of crisis in the Branch.
