OGBAGA OGBA IMMANUEL was born at Izhia, (erroneously called Ezzangbo) in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He was born 23rd August, in the year, 1991 to the family of Rev. Timothy Ogbaga. He has travelled to all the regions of Nigeria and about 60% of the State of the Federation. He lives and practices law in Abuja, the capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is a Teen Coach, a Writer, a Poet, Speaker and a Lawyer.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
He is a holder of a First School Leaving Certificate, West African School Certificate and a graduate of law (with honours) from the Ebonyi State University. He attended the Yenagoa Campus of the Nigerian Law School where he was schooled, passed and stood qualified and was called to the Nigerian Bar.
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
He has held many leadership positions both as an undergraduate and a graduate. He was a Welfare Officer 1, Public Relations Officer, Secretary General and ultimately, President General, National Association of Ohaukwu Law Students (NAOLS).
He was also PRO, Acting Secretary General and Acting President General, National Association of Ohaukwu Students (NAOS). Also, he served as PRO and President-General of National Association of Izhia Students (NAIS). All, while an undergraduate.
He was a Zonal Coordinator, Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF), Nyanya Zone, Abuja. He is the pioneer Chairman of the Young Lawyer Forum (YLF) of Nyanya Bar Forum (now Nyanya/Karu Branch) of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja.
He is vying for the post of Social Secretary of Nyanya/Karu Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja.
LEGAL PRACTICE.
He began his professional journey as a practicing lawyer with Messrs Thames Partners, Abuja as Junior Associate. He later joined Legal Trust LP, Abuja as Junior Associate. From there, he got welcomed by the law firm of the famed J. B. Majiyagbe SAN (now, sadly, of blessed memory), J. B. Majiyagbe & Co, Abuja as an Associate. From the practical professional experience gathered while serving in the above capacities, he founded GIMBG LEGALS. He is currently the Founding/Principal Partner of GIMBG LEGALS (gimbglegals.com), Abuja, one of the fastest growing Full Digital Law Firms in Abuja Nigeria.
HIS VISION/MISSION FOR THE BRANCH
The primary responsibility of a Social Secretary is to ensure that he works with the Chairman and as well, membership of the Branch Executive Committee in the overall Planning, Arrangement, Coordination and Direction of all official branch events. He intends to put up events, in synergy with the Branch leadership, that will focus on the Physical, Social and Intellectual growth of members. To do this, Sporting events, tailored to the likes and demands of members shall be on a monthly, weekly and periodical schedule. He shall, with support of all, secure partnerships with professional sport coaches to aid attainment of each member’s sporting goals while participating in our branch organized social events.
Before end of his tenure as Social Sec., he would have formed the Branch’s Male and Female Football Teams, Table Tennis Teams, Volleyball Teams and Runners capable of competing at NBA’s National or Zonal Sporting events.
Each of the branch’s monthly meetings shall be a mini-conference where well-thought-out events shall take place and be graced by high calibre personnel. At every month, a date to be approved by the Excos, there shall be an event to celebrate birthdays of members for the month. Not just these, every social event shall aim to put the name of the branch at the apex of comity of bar branches in Nigeria.
