About two Sundays ago, a group of concerned members of NBA Bwari (Cradle Bar), met at Country Side Guest Inn, Kubwa, to deliberate and reflect on the knotty issues oozing from the actions of NBA Bwari Electoral Committee.
The meeting was summoned by Mohammed Tsav a past Chairman of the Branch. In attendance was B.O.Nafagah also a past Chairman of the Branch, Paul Daudu and Maxwell Opara amongst others, were in attendance. I too, participated but left by 6 pm for a meeting but pledged to abide by whatever decision that was reached. 
At the said meeting, Maxwell Opara, a cleared candidate for the post of Vice Chairman, said he was not aware of the zoning convention in the Branch and that the post of the Vice Chairman, is ritually zoned to the West, whenever the North is producing the Chairman. When elders in attendance narrated the history of the Branch and philosophy of inclusion behind the zoning of offices, he pledged not to be involved in any activity that will endanger the peace in NBA Bwari.
Contrary to this his vow, Maxwell Opara, has actively both personally and through proxy, being campaigning for the office of the Vice Chairman of the Branch.
He is not alone in this ungentlemanly conduct not expected of a Barman.
Chidi Dimgba who was also cleared to contest, refused to respond if he was aware of the zoning arrangement in NBA Bwari. Equivocating and contradicting himself, he narrated how he left Cradle Bar to Unity Bar and came back to be made Chairman Publicity Committee by Monday Adjeh, a Committee that usurped the office of the Publicity Secretary Henry Barnabas Ehinome after attempt was made to impeach him from the office by some Exco members, who alleged that he was not carrying out his duties as the Branch’s Publicity Secretary. 
Despite Chidi Dimgba’s double speak, he has been told in clear terms that there is zoning in Cradle Bar and the office of the Vice Chairman, is zoned to the West and not to the East.
I was reliably informed that Dimgba had wanted to contest for Secretary but when it downed on him and the cabal supporting him that he cannot beat Caleb Owowo in any election and their failure to get Caleb step down for him, he Dimgba was assured the Vice Chairmanship slot and that zoning will be killed to allow him have a bite at the cherry.
This bite, has put him at dagger’s drawn with Maxwell Opara, who was his co-traveler in the series of meetings geared towards getting Owowo to step down and further allow them choose the Exco members that will be subservient to Paul Daudu (Paul is unopposed candidate for Chairman)
