NBA Bwari Eligibility To Vote; Less Than 185 To Vote

According to the Electoral Guidelines published by NBA Bwari Electoral Committee, for you to be eligible to vote, you must among other statutory requirements, pay your Welfare Levy, have Branch issued ID card.
Many have argued that these requirements are not constitutional but a member of the Electoral Committee insists that Branches have the inherent, inalienable rights to bend the Bye-Law requirements without breaking them long as it doesn’t occasion injustice both to the Branch and the members.
An outgoing exco member who spoke to kubwaexpress, expressed concern that, this election will have the highest low voters turnout as most members, including Exco members, did not pay the Branch imposed Welfare Levy. He further stated that possession of Branch’s ID card, should not be a condition to vote and any valid means of identification in Nigeria, including NIN, should be accepted.
A member of the Branch queried these conditions, arguing why should the Electoral Committee impose these and refuse to honor the age long convention of the Branch with regards to zoning?
