YC Maikyau OON, SAN whiling unveiling the Theme of the 2023 Annual General Conference of the NBA said, “as lawyers, we must take the lead for Nigeria to get it right.
We are blessed with all the potentials that we need to get it right but whatever it is that has brought us down as a nation, it is for us to fight it, discover it and take the lead in providing leadership and direction for the good of this country.
We have to build the nation Nigeria. It has to recover, be repositioned and be reformed such that we find our rightful place in the committee of nations.”
According to the NBA President, the logo depicts the revolution that is going to happen in this country and with that tick just assuring Nigerians that we are going to get it right this time.
On his part, Chairman of the AGC Planning Committee, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, said that concessions and consideration had been given to Young Lawyers, Lawyers with disabilities and septuagenarians. He urged lawyers to make good use of the opportunities this AGC will offer, to improve their practice and get it right in the best interest of the profession.
He further said that the early bird window of 15th May to 4th June, will not be extended.
